preschool

her first day of 4yr. old preschool
we started the day with some french toast casserole

tatum loves school and wishes she could go everyday :)
she loves her teachers and her special friends

until we meet again

i traveled to kansas with my family last week. we went to say goodbye and to celebrate the life of my sweet, precious grandma. i loved her and her soft lips and her millions of kisses and her telling me i have a face that only a grandmother could love! we shared a common bond, we were both mothers to twins. i love her and have hope of seeing her again in heaven, and i am holding onto that. the trip was a good time to -just be- with family and to remember all the many memories we shared with my grandma. life is all about making memories.

i came home to happy kids along with:
football practice
soccer practice
guitar lessons
volunteering
meal planning
baking
laundry
i am truly so happy to be back in my groove
i am learning to embrace this motherhood gig
i am trying to do it with a joyful heart
these are the best days of our lives

2ND GRADE

they got alarm clocks this year, so i don't have to wake them anymore (sniff, sniff). i told them they couldn't go to 2nd grade and that i had called their preschool teacher so that they could just go back to preschool. ugh this is going way too fast (like my mom always said)

he is like a man! he insisted on plain gray t-shirts from gap for his first day! we always take their pictures by the front door so we can see how much they have grown from the previous year!
isn't she a sweetheart.

they both wanted to be in separate classes this year, so the adventure begins. it is harder for me but i think it will be good for them. tess said her first day was AWESOME! teegan likes to play it cool but he came out with a big smile on his face!
